Hello there!
In this guide we will learn how to Evolve Tyrogue into the right evolution without doing a mistake, since it's evolutions are needed to complete quests in Pokemon Legends.
How to evolve Tyrogue?
You will have to look at these ''Main Stats only Click here. Those are the stats to look after:
Attack higher than Defense, your Tyrogue will evolve into Hitmonlee at lvl 20.
Attack lower than Defense, your Tyrogue will evolve into Hitmonchan at lvl 20.
Attack equal to Defense, your Tyrogue will evolve into Hitmontop at lvl 20.
How do I make Tyrogue evolve into an Specific Evolution I want?
1.- Lvl-up Tyrogue to lvl 30 (NOT EVOLVE) You can prevent evolving any Pokemon by pressing the ''Z'' button.
2.- Look at the stats of the Tyrogue you want to evolve. Let's use the Tyrogue from the SS shown at the top of the guide as reference:
As you can see, it has 22 attack and 20 Defense (random stats for everyone) that means if for example I want a:
Hitmontop: In this case we need 22 attack and 22 defense, to make the Main stats equal we will need to EV train our Tyrogue in Defense and for that we simply have to defeat Sudowoodo and each time you defeat one, you should update your Tyrogue page to see if your stats are equal.. Now that the Main Stats are 22 attack and 22 defence, you can evolve it once (Do not evolve it defeating wild pokemons or your stats might be changed again, go to a gym and lvl it up there, or Simply use the Diner/eatery.
Hitmonchan: Same method but this time our Main stat in defense should be higher than attack. That is why if we take the same Tyrogue from the image as example, we will do the same and defeat Sudowodo until the def is higher than our attack. When Def is Higher, Evolve it once at a Gym or the Diner.
Hitmonlee: If we again use the image from above it will be easy and nothing more than evolve it at lvl 20 and easy Tyrogue. Let's say that our Tyrogue have 20 attack and 22 defense instead. We should defeat again wild Pokemon, but this time we should be defeating Pokemon that gives EV points in Attack, fx Heracross at route 1 on the most Eastern patch.
Make sure you have the right stats before evolving your Tyrogue.
You are always welcome to link your Pokemon here as a comment or at the global chat in-game and kindly ask peoplein there if the Main Stats are good for specific Evolution.
Advanced Tips: If you have a complete understanding on how Pokemon Natures and IV points do work, then you will have a lot of advantage when choosing a tyrogue for a certain evolution...
Best tip I can give is to have catch/breed a new tyrogue with a neutral nature (does not increase or decrease any stats) with a relatively equal IV...
If you choose to evolve your Tyrogue into Hitmonchan and your tyrogue has 31 IV in attack (this is an example) and it is adamant nature, you will have to defeat way too many Sudowoodo and it will take forver to make main stats equal.. why?
Because each time the Tyrogue lvl-up, the main attack stat will be increased by huge difference.
That is all guys!! I hope It helps you out!
